FAG— The Three Meanings

THE INSULT

Once used as a harmful slur to belittle and marginalize, fag has a painful history of exclusion. But since it was first used in this context, we've risen above hate—reclaiming the word and its power to define ourselves, not others.

THE CIGARETTE

Originating in British slang in 1888, fag was a symbol of personal expression and rebellion. Today, it represents a spark of change, igniting freedom and defiance against outdated norms.

THE LABEL

A term reclaimed from history, fag now embraces all queer identities, particularly FLINTA* voices. We draw strength from our past to create a future where diversity, resilience, and visibility are celebrated.
